Job summary

AustCorp Executive in Brisbane seeks a General Manager to lead an advanced manufacturing facility with five-axis CNC machining, robotics and precision engineering. You will drive growth across defence, aerospace, automotive and niche markets, while owning P&L and implementing scalable systems.

You will oversee 15+ staff through three managers, optimise ERP usage, and build a culture focused on performance, quality and commercial success in a growing operation.

Qualifications

• At least five years' leadership experience in CNC machining and/or metal fabrication.
• Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining and precision manufacturing.
• Proven full P&L accountability including budgeting and profitability.
• Experience managing ops via measurable KPIs.
• Strong ERP capability across production planning, inventory and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100D or similar quality systems.
• Ability to lead people, implement change and build a strong culture.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of P&L, budgets, revenue, EBITDA and KPIs.
• Transform a traditional workshop into a structured, scalable operation.
• Maximise CNC machine utilisation, capacity, scheduling and profitability.
• Drive growth across precision engineering, defence, aerospace, automotive and niche manufacturing.
• Improve quoting accuracy, job costing, margins and turnaround times.
• Optimise ERP systems, inventory management and distribution performance.
• Introduce automation and advanced manufacturing tech, including AI.
• Maintain quality standards including AS9100D and ISO 9001.
