Job summary

AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Maintenance department on a full-time basis at the NSW property. You will coordinate maintenance across the site, lead a small team, and ensure safety and quality in every task.

You will manage preventive maintenance programs, liaise with contractors, and support budgeting and scheduling for Capex works while partnering with the Hotel Manager to develop the maintenance team and ensure guest

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in hotels.
• Experience supervising or supporting a maintenance team.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• Trade or building qualification is highly regarded.
• Experience liaising with contractors.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel/Word).

• Assist in leading and executing the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
• Assist in supervising a team of two Maintenance Officers.
• Provide hands-on support by performing repairs and maintenance across the property.
• Supervise and support service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security systems, hydraulics, and contractor works.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practices.
• Assist with stock control and supplier coordination to maintain efficient operations.
• Support in preparing quotes and scheduling maintenance tasks, including minor Capex works.
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager to support recruitment and development of the Maintenance team.

Job Description

Avani Cypress Lakes Resort are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Supervisor to support our Maintenance department on a full-time basis.

In this role, the successful candidate will assist in coordinating and carrying out all maintenance requirements across the property.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in leading and executing the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance.
• Assist in supervising a team of two Maintenance Officers
• Provide hands-on support by performing repairs and maintenance as required across the property.
• Supervise and support key service areas including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
• Always Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practices.
• Assist with stock control and supplier coordination to maintain efficient operations.
• Support in preparing quotes and scheduling maintenance tasks, including minor Capex works.
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager to support the recruitment and development of the Maintenance team.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Monday to Friday
• 6:30am start time (flexible for the right candidate)
• Afterhours caretaker on site – weekend/afterhours calls may be required on an ad hoc basis

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have:

• Previous hands-on Maintenance or Facilities experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Experience supervising or supporting team members within a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• A relevant trade or building qualification will be highly regarded.
• Experience liaising and coordinating with Contractors.
• Sound MS Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and Word documents).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with impeccable presentation.
