Job summary

Curtain Hardware Australia (NSW) Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Factory Supervisor to lead the day-to-day factory and warehouse operations in Smithfield NSW. You will guide a small team, ensure production and stock is managed safely and efficiently, and drive continuous improvement across processes.

The role emphasizes leading by example, maintaining high quality standards, and collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams to meet customer orders and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or similar operational environment.
• Previous experience leading a small team or the ability to step into a leadership role.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Experience with continuous improvement or process improvement initiatives is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities to ensure customer orders are completed on time and to quality standards.
• Supervise the factory and warehouse team, providing guidance, support, and day-to-day direction.
• Ensure efficient warehouse operations, including stock control, receipting, and warehouse organisation.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with production standards and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Resolve day-to-day production issues and support the team in achieving operational targets.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to team members.
• Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain to support stock availability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a safe workplace by ensuring compliance with WHS policies and safe work practices.
• Support employee performance, development, and engagement within the team.
