Job summary

Amey Australia, formerly Premise, is seeking a Civil Designer to deliver practical design outcomes for land development and infrastructure across Queensland.

You’ll join a hands-on design team in Mackay, producing civil designs with AutoCAD and 12d, from concept through documentation, while benefiting from guidance by Principal Engineers.

The role values attention to detail, clear communication, and mentoring two junior teammates as you grow your capability.

Qualifications

• Around 3+ years’ experience in civil design or close to completing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Solid understanding of civil design principles, standards and documentation.
• Exposure to land development projects in Queensland.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 12d.

Responsibilities

• Producing civil designs and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and 12d.
• Supporting project delivery from concept through to documentation and submission.
• Preparing plans, reports and technical documentation for client and authority approvals.
• Liaising with local councils and other stakeholders to keep projects moving.
• Assisting with design calculations and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Supporting and mentoring two junior team members within the design team.
