Job summary

Australian Country Choice is seeking a Halal Slaughterman to join our Cannon Hill processing team. This hands-on role performs halal slaughter in line with approved certification, animal welfare, and food safety standards.

You will work with the production team to maintain an efficient, respectful and compliant processing operation, follow safety procedures, complete checks, and meet production and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Practising Muslim eligible to perform halal slaughter under certification requirements.
• Previous slaughtering, meat-processing or knife-hand experience is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of animal welfare and halal principles.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced processing environment.
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to work effectively in a team.
• Available for rostered shifts and able to meet site-entry requirements.

Responsibilities

This hands-on role is responsible for carrying out halal slaughter in accordance with approved religious requirements, animal welfare standards, food safety procedures and workplace health and safety obligations. Working as part of the production team, you will help maintain an efficient, respectful and compliant processing operation.

Your responsibilities:
