Qualifications

• Halal slaughter experience in meat processing
• Knowledge of Halal requirements and procedures
• Strong knife skills in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to animal welfare and food safety
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain standards
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Perform Halal slaughter duties in accordance with approved Halal requirements
• Follow animal welfare requirements and approved procedures
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and workplace cleanliness
• Safely handle, sharpen and maintain knives and related equipment
• Follow WHS procedures and wear PPE
• Complete duties efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance
• Collaborate with supervisors and production team members
• Report safety, animal welfare, quality or compliance concerns immediately
• Follow directions from supervisors
