Job summary

NSW Health Pathology Randwick Haematology is seeking an enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Assistant to join a permanent full-time team. The role involves specimen handling, administrative tasks, stock management, procurement and ensuring quality and safety standards to support patient care.

The position offers a salary of $66,939.37–$69,503.42 per annum plus superannuation, with a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pathology setting and ability to learn aspects of the laboratory environment.
• Experience with procurement tasks such as stock management, invoicing and enquiries.
• Ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily laboratory operations, including specimen handling and administrative tasks.
• Support stock management, procurement and compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Maintain high-quality work output and data accuracy while handling multiple priorities.
• Demonstrate customer service skills and effective communication with customers, patients and staff.
