Job summary

NSW Health Pathology at Bankstown Hospital is seeking Medical Laboratory Assistants to join a busy 24/7 laboratory. Positions include Permanent Full-Time, Permanent Part-Time (20 hours), and Temporary Part-Time (30 hours).

You will handle specimen receipt, data entry, and support diverse laboratory activities in a fast-paced team. We value flexible, proactive individuals with strong problem-solving skills who can work independently or with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Pathology Collections or equivalent required.
• Experience in pre-analytical laboratory environment advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and deadlines in a busy lab.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage specimens and register patients.
• Enter requests and process data with high accuracy.
• Support clinical trials and point-of-care testing as required.
• Contribute to general laboratory operations in a 24/7 setting.
