Job summary

PCYC NSW in Cessnock is seeking a Casual Gymnastics Coach to inspire young people, deliver safe and inclusive classes, and role-model our core values. You will design engaging lessons and support front-desk and admin tasks to help the club run smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a passion for gymnastics, strong communication and teamwork, and is willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Check. Flexibility for afternoons, evenings, weekends and school holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience, especially with youth.
• Strong communication and reliability in a team setting.
• Willingness to obtain Working with Children Check and National Police Check if not current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, inclusive gymnastics classes across programs from Kindy Gym to Parkour.
• Design and tailor engaging lesson content for different ages and abilities.
• Support customer service and admin tasks to keep operations smooth.
• Create an environment that fosters resilience, teamwork and confidence.
• Coach across a range of programs including Trampoline, TeamGym, Cheerleading and Artistic Gymnastics.

$34.96 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our PCYC team to provide positive experiences to young people. In this varied and flexible role, classified as a Gymnastics Coach under our Enterprise Agreement, you'll do more than just teach skills—you'll role model our core values of Respect, Commitment, Resilience, Integrity, and Citizenship every day.

• Delivering exciting, safe and inclusive gymnastics classes
• Designing and planning engaging lesson content tailored to different ages and abilities
• Supporting customer service and admin tasks to ensure smooth operations
• Creating an environment that encourages resilience, teamwork and confidence
• Coaching across a wide range of programs – from Kindergym to Trampoline, TeamGym to Parkour, Cheerleading to Artistic Gymnastics

About You

Are you a passionate person and haveflexibility to work afternoons and evenings, school holidays and weekends? As well as;

• Loves working with kids and creating a positive, safe environment
• Has a strong interest in gymnastics or sport (Gymnastics Coaching Accreditation desirable – or willingness to obtain)
• Brings strong communication, reliability, and teamwork to the role
• Has (or can obtain) a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
• Previous experience in coaching, youth work, or customer service is a bonus!
