Job summary

PCYC NSW in Parkes is seeking an enthusiastic casual Assistant Gymnastics Coach to deliver positive experiences to young people and run safe gymnastics sessions.

The role requires flexibility for afternoon and evening shifts, and a current Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation or willingness to work towards it, with strong administration and customer service skills. You will also need to obtain Working With Children and National Police Checks.

Qualifications

• Current Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation or equivalent.
• Ability to work towards accreditation if not held.
• Strong administration and customer service skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy and able to work with young people.
• Autonomous yet a team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and implementing PCYC gymnastics programs.
• Support participants in gymnastics programs.
• Check and maintain gymnastics equipment for safety.

$26.57 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Parkes team to provide positive experiences to young people.In this varied and flexible role, classified as a Level 1: Activities Officer under our Enterprise Agreement, you will be;

• Assisting in the preparation and implementation of PCYC gymnastics programs in Clubs and on occasion in the wider community
• Assist participants in the gymnastics programs
• Checking and maintain gymnastics equipment, including routine testing, in order to achieve the highest standard of safety

About You

Are you a passionate person and haveflexibility to work afternoons and evenings, school holidays and weekends? As well as;

• Do you have a strong interest in gymnastics and other sports?
• Do you have a current Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation or equivalent or the ability to work towards this or have an equivalent level of expertise and experience?
• Do you have skills in administration and customer service?
• Are you a reliable and trustworthy person for the care of young people?
• Are you an autonomous worker as well as a team player?
• Do you have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills?
• Do you have experience in working with children, building relationships and customer service?
• Do you have the ability to obtain a compliant Working With Children Check and National Police Check?
