Job summary

PCYC NSW seeks an enthusiastic Assistant Gymnastics Coach for the Cessnock club. This casual position focuses on delivering positive gymnastics experiences to young people and supporting program delivery with safety in mind.

You will assist with program preparation, support participants, and help maintain gym equipment, while working flexible morning, afternoon, evenings, and weekend shifts. The role offers a pathway to ongoing community youth initiatives and requires Working With Children Check

Qualifications

• Experience delivering gymnastics or youth activity programs is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to obtain Working With Children Check and National Police Check.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Cessnock team to provide positive experiences to young people.In this varied and flexible role, classified as a Level 1: Activities Officer under our Enterprise Agreement, you will be;

• Assisting in the preparation and implementation of PCYC gymnastics programs in Clubs and on occasion in the wider community
• Assist participants in the gymnastics programs
• Checking and maintain gymnastics equipment, including routine testing, in order to achieve the highest standard of safety

About You

Are you a passionate person and haveflexibility to work afternoons and evenings, school holidays and weekends? As well as;

• Do you have a strong interest in gymnastics and other sports?
• Do you have a current Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation or equivalent or the ability to work towards this or have an equivalent level of expertise and experience?
• Do you have skills in administration and customer service?
• Are you a reliable and trustworthy person for the care of young people?
• Are you an autonomous worker as well as a team player?
• Do you have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills?
• Do you have experience in working with children, building relationships and customer service?
• Do you have the ability to obtain a compliant Working With Children Check and National Police Check?
