Job summary

PCYC NSW in Port Stephens is seeking an enthusiastic person to join our team as an Assistant Gymnastics Coach. This casual role offers variety, community impact, and the chance to help young people enjoy safe gymnastics programs.

You will assist in preparing and delivering gymnastics activities, support participants, and help maintain equipment and safety standards while complying with our enterprise agreement. Flexibility for arvo, weekend, and school holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation or the ability to work towards this
• Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check
• Ability to obtain National Police Check
• Experience in working with children and customer service
• Flexible to afternoon/evening shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and implementation of PCYC gymnastics programs in Clubs and on occasion in the wider community
• Assist participants in the gymnastics programs
• Check and maintain gymnastics equipment, including routine testing, to ensure safety standards

$26.57 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Port Stephens team to provide positive experiences to young people.In this varied and flexible role, classified as a Level 1: Activities Officer under our Enterprise Agreement, you will be;

• Assisting in the preparation and implementation of PCYC gymnastics programs in Clubs and on occasion in the wider community
• Assist participants in the gymnastics programs
• Checking and maintain gymnastics equipment, including routine testing, in order to achieve the highest standard of safety

About You

Are you a passionate person and haveflexibility to work afternoons and evenings, school holidays and weekends? As well as;

• Do you have a strong interest in gymnastics and other sports?
• Do you have a current Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation or equivalent or the ability to work towards this or have an equivalent level of expertise and experience?
• Do you have skills in administration and customer service?
• Are you a reliable and trustworthy person for the care of young people?
• Are you an autonomous worker as well as a team player?
• Do you have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills?
• Do you have experience in working with children, building relationships and customer service?
• Do you have the ability to obtain a compliant Working With Children Check and National Police Check?
