Belgravia Leisure in Melbourne is seeking energetic Gym Instructors for the Somerville Recreation Centre as we launch our exciting new gym facility. You will guide members on exercise techniques and build a welcoming, safe environment from day one.

Join a supportive team, deliver group sessions, and help members achieve health goals while driving outstanding customer experiences. Relevant fitness certificates and checks are required for the role.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Fitness required to work as a Gym Instructor.
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification are mandatory.
• Working with Children Check and National Police Check are required.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Fitness, Exercise Science qualification, AusActive Registration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct member inductions and onboarding appointments.
• Provide exercise guidance and technique correction.
• Deliver small group functional training sessions.
• Support member retention through exceptional customer service.
• Monitor gym floor safety and equipment standards.
• Promote fitness programs, challenges, and wellness initiatives.

About the Role

As a Gym Instructor, you'll be the face of the gym floor, providing guidance, encouragement, and support to members of all fitness levels. You'll play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experiences while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and motivating environment.
