Job summary

Guzman Y Gomez is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and guest experience in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. You will ensure knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and procedures to consistently deliver high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in QSR, restaurant or hospitality.
• Completed a Food Safety Supervisors course.
• Completed (or willing to undertake) Responsible Service of Alcohol course.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Understanding of written operation and financial reports.
• High level of management and conflict resolution skills.
• Possess good understanding of food safety concepts.
• Willingness to undertake one shift per month in leading kitchen position.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Restaurant Manager and manage the restaurant in their absence.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients and procedures to deliver top customer experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall efficient and effective management and operation of the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. The Assistant Manager is to maintain a complete knowledge of GYG menu items, ingredients and procedures at all times in order to proactively and promptly deliver the highest level of customer experience.

This role will suit an individual that is passionate about hospitality and management and is motivated to promote GYG's values and display energy and enthusiasm for the unique brand.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Should Have/be

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in QSR, restaurant or the hospitality industry.
• Completed a Food Safety Supervisors course.
