Job summary

Elements of Byron is seeking a friendly Front Desk/Guest Services team member for a casual role at our beachfront Byron Bay resort. You will greet guests, check them in and out, and set the tone for their stay with warmth, care and professionalism.

The role suits someone who thrives on connection and proactive service. Hours are up to 25+ per week on a 7-day rotating roster, including mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to requests promptly and courteously.
• Experience in a 4-5 star resort/hotel front office environment.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse range of guests.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out and set a welcoming tone for the guests’ stay.

Job Description

The Role:

As the face of our reception desk, you’ll be responsible for ensuring we don’t simply deliver service, but go above and beyond to create meaningful and authentic moments of hospitality. You won’t just be checking guests in and out, you’ll be setting the tone for their entire experience, with care and professionalism.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on connection, takes pride in anticipating needs, and genuinely enjoys creating personalised service moments that leave guests feeling seen, valued, and truly welcome.

The Hours:

This is a casual role offering up to 25+ hours per week across a 7-day rotating roster.

We’re seeking team members who can be flexible and reliable, ready to jump into morning or evening shifts as needed.

Ideally, you’re:

• Available for a minimum 6-month commitment (or longer)
• Confident, composed, and genuinely passionate about hospitality
• Someone who brings positive energy to every shift
• Available to work during the Christmas and New Year holiday period
