Job summary

Mercure Perth on Hay is a 127 room full service property located in the heart of Perth CBD. We are seeking a dynamic Part-Time Guest Service Agent to ensure exceptional service is provided to our guests at all times, making them feel welcome and comfortable.

As a Guest Service Agent you will handle check-in/check-out, assist with reservations and guest accounts, and promote the Accor loyalty program. You will work a 7-day roster including mornings and evenings, contributing to a memorable guest

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office; Opera is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and resolve issues quickly.
• Strong communication skills and personal presentation.
• Genuine customer service focus with a friendly, proactive approach.
• Ability to work across a 7 day roster including mornings and evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver service excellence from check-in to check-out and beyond.
• Be the first point of contact for guests and visitors.
• Perform front office tasks such as selling facilities, making reservations and maintaining guest accounts.
• Provide passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly service to external and internal guests.
• Answer calls in a professional manner according to brand standards.
• Reconcile cashier floats at the end of each shift.
• Brief non-ALL Accor Live Limitless members on features and benefits and sign them up.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic Part Time Guest Service Agentsto ensure exceptional service is provided to our guests at all times, making them feel both welcome and comfortable.

Some of the duties will include:

Guest Services:

• Deliver service excellence, from check in to check out and everywhere in between
• Often be the first point of contact for guests and visitors
• Complete a wide variety of front office tasks, which willensure that every day is different from selling the hotel’s facilities to taking reservations and maintaining guest accounts
• Provide passionate, knowledgeable and friendly service to external and internal guests at all times
• Answer all telephone calls in a professional manner according to brand standard
• Reconcile cashier floats at the completion of each shift.
• Ensure guests who are not ALL - Accor Live Limitless members are briefed on features and benefits and signed up to the loyalty program

Your Skills and experience include:

• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a Hotel environment
• Strong knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office and preferably in Opera
• The ability to work under pressure, multitask and think on your feet to quickly resolve issues is required
• Strong communication skills and pride in personal presentation
• Have a natural ability to surprise guests with your authentic guest service, setting you apart from the rest
• A genuine customer service focus and a strong dedication to alwaysmaking our guest’s smile during their stay
• Ability to work across a 7 day roster including mornings and evenings and weekends
