Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, invites you to join our Front Office team as a Guest Service Agent. This part-time role covers reception, reservations, check-in/out, cashiering and guest assistance, delivering warm, knowledgeable service to every guest and bringing our premium brand to life.

Availability on Mondays is required, minimum 15 hours per week, with night-shift availability desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in Guest Services/Administration/Reception
• RSA certificate or willingness to obtain
• Hotel Management or Business Admin related qualification preferred
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good reading, writing, basic maths, computers, and PMS skills
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 23 kg
• Commitment to guest satisfaction and high quality service

Responsibilities

• Assist guests on arrival, focusing on welcoming and recognizing IHG One Reward Members
• Handle check-in/check-out, cashiering and guest account processing
• Stay informed about hotel events, group activities and local attractions to make thoughtful recommendations
• Support the wider hotel team with other duties as required

The Front Desk is often the first point of contact and the first impression for guests. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassures guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us. As a Guest Service Agent, you’ll be responsible for all Front Office activities such as reception, reservations, telephone services, checking guests in/out, rooming of all guests, cashiering and auditing. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service ensuring guests have a great experience and stay, ultimately bringing the brand to life.

This is a part time position, working a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Availability on Monday’s is required.

Ability to work across night shift is desirable.

Every day is a little different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Supporting guests on arrival: Championing the arrival experience and ensure to recognize our IHG One Reward Members
• Process check-in/check-out functions: General cashiering and processing of guest accounts
• Stay informed: Keep up-to-date with daily events, group activities and guest feedback at the hotel. Familiarise yourself with the hotel’s offerings and local attractions so you can provide thoughtful recommendations to guests
• Assist: Support the wider hotel team with other duties as required

What we need from you:

• Minimum 6 months experience in a Guest Services / Administration / Reception position preferred
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or willing to obtain
• Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or in a Business Administration related field preferred
• Flexible availability and shift work, including weekends, public holidays, evenings and nights
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• You will need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths, computers and Property Management System (PMS)
• Sometimes you will need to lift, push and pull objects up to 23kg. This can involve bending, and kneeling
• Display a commitment to our guests by consistently maintaining a high level of quality at all times
