Job summary

Ocean International Hotel in Mackay is seeking a friendly, professional Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily F&B operations, lead the team, and ensure an exceptional guest experience across our restaurant, bar, and functions.

Responsibilities include supervising all F&B operations, training the team, managing costs, and maintaining high standards of service. RSA and Food Safety Certification are required, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and public holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous F&B supervisory or management experience, preferably in hotels.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Guest-focused and professional.
• Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident handling guest feedback and team matters.
• RSA and Food Safety Certificate required.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Food & Beverage operations across restaurant, bar, and events.
• Lead, support, and motivate the F&B team.
• Ensure high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness.
• Supervise restaurant, bar, and function operations.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Assist with team training and onboarding.
• Monitor stock, wastage, and operational costs.
• Ensure RSA, safety, and hotel procedures are followed.
• Work closely with Kitchen, Front Office, Sales, and Events teams.
