Job summary

Department of Justice in Perth is seeking a Manager Guardianship to lead guardianship services under the Public Advocate’s mandate. The role involves strategic leadership, complex stakeholder engagement, and policy development to support adults with decision-making disabilities.

The incumbent will work within the Office of the Public Advocate, collaborating with the leadership team to implement strategic directions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing staff.
• Knowledge of personal, treatment and lifestyle issues for people with decision-making disabilities.
• Ability to manage caseloads and allocate work according to needs and resources.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation and lead policy reviews.
• Tertiary qualification in social/behavioural sciences, law, or equivalent.
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
• Ability to think critically and handle ambiguity.
• Awareness of political, social and environmental trends.
• Resilience and tenacity.
