Job summary

Gympie Regional Council is seeking a Growth Management Coordinator on a 24-month fixed-term contract. The role reports to the Manager Planning Strategy and Growth and leads the council's growth management program, acting as the technical authority on growth and development sequencing.

Key duties include delivering the Growth Management Strategy, coordinating structure plans, and managing strategic planning projects from start to finish while advising on land supply and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Development Management, Construction, or Project Management.
• Experience in growth management or strategic land use planning in government.
• Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth management program and deliver Growth Management Strategy.
• Coordinate structure plans and development frameworks for priority growth areas.
• Manage strategic planning projects from planning through delivery.
• Advise on land supply, growth opportunities and development sequencing.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, finance, asset teams, State Government, developers and utilities.
