Job summary

Gympie Regional Council is seeking a full-time Growth Management Coordinator on a 24-month fixed-term contract. You will lead the growth management program and act as the technical authority on growth and development sequencing, reporting to the Manager Planning Strategy and Growth.

You will coordinate structure plans, manage strategic planning projects, and provide expert advice on land supply and development sequencing while collaborating with infrastructure, finance, and government partners.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Development Management, Construction, or Project Management.
• Experience in growth management or strategic land use planning in government.
• Extensive experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects with stakeholder coordination.
• Skilled negotiator with sound professional judgement on complex growth issues.
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence (or ability to obtain).

• Work with infrastructure, finance, asset teams, State Government, developers and utilities

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Development Management, Construction, or Project Management
• Demonstrated experience in growth management or strategic land use planning in government
• Extensive experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects and stakeholder coordination
• Skilled negotiator and collaborator with sound professional judgement on complex growth issues
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence (or ability to obtain) and availability for occasional after-hours work
