The Placement Collective in Sydney is seeking a Special Groups Consultant to own group bookings for 10+ travellers from start to finish.

You will source, quote, convert and service group enquiries, working closely with trade partners to ensure on-brand itineraries and seamless execution. This specialist role focuses solely on Special Groups, with a strong commercial mindset and collaborative cross-functional involvement.

Special Groups Consultant – Travel Industry

Are you an experienced travel professional looking to take ownership of unique, high-value group bookings? We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded consultant to join our team and manage Special Groups from start to finish.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be fully focused on Special Groups, managing bookings of ten or more passengers through trade partners. You’ll handle everything from sourcing and quoting to converting and servicing group enquiries, ensuring every itinerary is seamless and on brand.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong travel industry experience (ideally 1–2+ years) with confidence in quoting and managing group or tailor‑made itineraries
• A proactive sales approach — able to build relationships, follow up leads, and convert enquiries
• Exceptional organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple group files at once
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding service
• This is a specialist role focused solely on Special Groups, not general reservations
• You’ll need strong commercial understanding, including margins, pricing and itinerary structure
• Collaboration with Sales, Product and Ops is essential, but this role fully owns the end‑to‑end group workflow
