Job summary

AA Appointments Brisbane seeks a Groups Destination Specialist to expand its South Pacific offerings. You will research, source and develop group travel products, negotiate with suppliers and build compelling itineraries that maximise bookings and profitability.

Collaborate with sales and marketing to create campaigns and ensure smooth operations from inquiry to departure. A creative, organised travel professional with 2–3 years of hands-on groups experience will thrive here.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' hands-on Groups experience in a similar tourism role.
• Strong knowledge of group travel products, contracting and supplier negotiations.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Confidence working across multiple booking systems.

Responsibilities

• Research, source and develop innovative group travel and event products across key destinations.
• Negotiate competitive rates, exclusive deals and value-added inclusions with suppliers.
• Create appealing group packages that maximise bookings, room nights and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, resorts, tourism operators and destination partners.
• Develop new supplier partnerships to expand the South Pacific product portfolio.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver outstanding group experiences.
• Partner with marketing to develop exciting campaigns that drive group bookings and sales growth.
• Ensure group departures, product information and pricing are accurately loaded across internal systems and websites.
• Provide product knowledge, training and ongoing support to sales teams.
• Respond promptly and professionally to group enquiries, quotations and bookings.

THE ROLE

Working closely with suppliers, sales and marketing teams, you'll play a key role in expanding the company's product offering, driving bookings and delivering exceptional group travel experiences.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

We're looking for a creative and highly organised travel professional who thrives on developing exceptional group travel experiences.

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a hands-on Groups experience in a similar tourism role


• Strong knowledge of group travel products, contracting and supplier negotiations


• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills


• Confidence working across multiple booking systems


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities


• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to customer service


• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and genuine passion for travel

Experience with South Pacific destinations and group product development will be highly regarded.
