Job summary

Fetch Mining Services are seeking a Group Health and Safety Advisor to support a diverse Mining, Civil & Construction operation based in the Perth CBD. The role involves regular site visits, Monday–Friday, with an opportunity for contract to permanent progression and a competitive hourly rate up to $100.

You will join a small, growing team with direct access to directors and senior management, and you will drive HSE programs across WA while maintaining autonomy on site.

Qualifications

• Five+ years advising on health and safety in mining operations and mining construction.
• Cert IV WHS required; Diploma preferred.
• Formal training & induction coaching experience desirable.
• Experience with incident investigations (ICAM) and audits.

Responsibilities

• Advise on health and safety across mining, civil and construction sites in WA.
• Lead inductions and coach supervisors; run VOCs where applicable.
• Conduct/lead investigations and audits of standards and systems.
• Work autonomously with site visits and reporting to senior management.
• Meet pre-employment medical, D&A screening and WA licensing requirements.

Group Health & Safety Advisor

Perth CBD based Role | Regular Site Visits

Up To $100 Per Hour | Contract To Perm

Fetch Mining Services are currently seeking a Group Health and Safety Advisor to support a diverse Mining, Civil & Construction Business based in the Perth CBD.

This is a unique opportunity to work across a Group servicing the Mining Contracting, Civil and Construction sectors across WA.

This is a Perth based Monday- Friday role with regular trips to site required. You will be working with a smaller / growing tight knit team with support and accessibilityto directors and senior management.

Experience Required:

• Five years plus advising on health and safety, with real time in both mining operations and mining construction.
• Cert IV WHS minimum, Diploma preferred
• Schedule 26 statutory supervisor competency - BSBWHS411 and BSBWHS414 plus the regulator's legislation exam. We will consider someone holding the units who still needs to sit the exam.
• Cert IV Training and Assessment - they'll be running inductions, coaching supervisors and ideally undertaking VOC's.
• ICAM or equivalent, with investigations they've personally led.
• Has audited and/or reviewed and marked up standards or a management system.
• Has been the only safety person in a business or on a site. Nobody will be checking their diary and they need to work autonomously.
• Current and valid WA C class licence, able to pass a medical and D&A screen, and the right to work in Australia with no conditions or time limits.
