About the Role

We have an exciting position for someone with a dynamic background in Manufacturing and Commercial leadership to join our Australian business based in Strathpine, Brisbane as our Group Commercial Manager(CFO). In this significant role, you will partner with the General Manager of Iplex to lead our Commercial (Finance), Pricing & Procurement functions, playing a crucial part in shaping and executing our business strategy. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will continuously identify opportunities and drive the financial and operational performance of Iplex Australia. Reporting directly to the Fletcher Building Australia Divisional CFO, you will provide essential commercial decision support, financial analysis, and strategic insights to enhance operational efficiency. Your proven expertise in a similar role at the Business CFO level will be instrumental in achieving our long-term strategic goals. You will lead a diverse team across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting, Pricing, Strategy, and Procurement, fostering collaboration across all functions to drive positive business outcomes. This role offers a unique opportunity to initiate financial and operational transformation within a high-performing manufacturing business. Your ability to navigate complex challenges, solve problems, and influence stakeholders will be key to making a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the GM and Divisional CFO to drive financial performance and strategic decisions
• Use your manufacturing experience to drive data-driven recommendations
• Lead our full financial function ensuring controls are in place
• Develop budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
• Create business cases for growth and capital initiatives.
• Execute business strategy; monitor industry trends and market dynamics for strategic relevance and opportunities.
• Communicate financial KPIs to enhance business understanding and decisions.
• Implement best practices in financial governance, contract risk management, and compliance.
• Mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

• Proven commercial and strategic finance experience in a complex manufacturing environment (continuous manufacturing highly regarded). Expertise in manufacturing cost drivers, operational efficiencies, and performance improvement strategies
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence at both operational and strategic levels
• Bachelor of Business/Commerce in Accounting, with CA or CPA qualifications preferred
• High-level financial acumen, with a track record in budget control, cost optimisation, & business transformation
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Suite, and financial modelling
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive change.
• Ability to travel interstate as required.
