Job summary

The Client, a Private Equity backed multi-site Industrial Services group, is seeking a commercially minded Group CFO to partner with the CEO and investors, drive performance, acquisitions and scalable finance.

Reporting to the CEO, the Group CFO will be a key strategic and commercial partner responsible for finance, capital management, acquisitions and business performance across the group.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified with foundational training from a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Proven experience as a CFO or equivalent in PE, SME or mid-market environments.
• Strong exposure to M&A, transactions, due diligence or post-acquisition integrations.
• Background spanning technical finance leadership and commercial partnering.
• Experience in multi-site, service-led or industrial businesses is highly regarded.
• Proven ability to improve reporting, controls, governance and finance processes.
• Understanding of capital structures, debt facilities and funding strategies.
• Ability to operate strategically while being hands-on with operations.
• Track record partnering with CEOs, Boards and investors to drive value.

Responsibilities

• Act as CEO's trusted partner, delivering commercial insights.
• Lead group finance: control, reporting, treasury, tax & governance.
• Support acquisitions: due diligence, financing, integration.
• Drive buy-and-build with scalable reporting and controls.
• Build board-ready reporting for investors and KPIs.
• Partner with ops to improve profitability and working capital.
• Develop debt facilities and funding strategies.
• Forecasting, budgeting and cashflow across entities.
• Lead finance transformation using tech and AI.
• Standardise systems and governance post-acquisition.
• Manage stakeholders including shareholders and auditors.
• Mentor a high-performing finance team.
