Job summary

The Commercial Manager role at ThompsonCook sits in a high-growth, private equity backed multisite business. You will own the divisional P&L, lead budgeting and forecasting, and provide commercial insight to drive profitability across a circa $500M revenue footprint.

Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will partner with operations and commercial leaders to influence strategic decisions and performance. This is a senior finance position requiring strong FP&A, modelling, and stakeholder management

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification with strong experience across commercial finance, FP&A or finance business partnering.
• Experience in a private equity backed multisite or operationally complex business is highly regarded.
• Strong experience across full P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and commercial analysis.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders to influence business performance.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the divisional P&L, providing financial oversight, commercial insight and recommendations to support business performance.
• Partner with senior operational and commercial leaders, providing financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision making.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and financial planning activities across the division.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying key trends, material variances and opportunities to improve profitability.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support commercial initiatives, investment decisions and growth opportunities.
• Provide detailed analysis of revenue, costs, margins and key operational drivers to support business performance.
• Develop and enhance management reporting, financial dashboards and analytical tools to provide greater visibility over commercial performance.
• Support the Deputy CFO on broader commercial projects, strategic initiatives and ongoing process improvement activities.
