Arrow Energy is seeking a Groundwater Liaison Officer in Dalby, Queensland, to plan field schedules for baseline assessments and secure access to water bores under the Water Act. Regular travel to bore sites will be required, and you will support Arrow and contractor teams on-site.

You will work in a safety-conscious, multi-disciplinary environment, maintaining records and delivering notices while collaborating with landholders and stakeholders to ensure compliant groundwater access.

• Qualification: University degree or other professional qualification preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of water bore construction, operation and infrastructure highly regarded.
• Experience working under safety management systems.
• Experience working using Safe Systems of Work.
• Attention to detail and good record keeping.
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to easily interact with landholders to facilitate access to water bores.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Team Lead Groundwater Agreements, purpose of the role is to plan the field schedule for baseline assessments, to negotiate access to the water bores in accordance with the requirements of the Water Act and to facilitate access during the baseline assessment.

This is a Dalby based position and will require regular driving to water bore sites.

In addition, as a Groundwater Liaison Officer you will:

• o Planning the field work schedule of baseline assessments;
• o Contacting bore owners and arranging access to undertake the baseline assessment;
• o Drafting and delivering required statutory entry notices within necessary timeframes;
• o Ensuring all records are maintained within Arrow databases; and
• o Accompanying Arrow or contractor personnel to sites to undertake baseline assessments.

As required from time to time, the role will also assist with the following activities related to bore assessments:

• o Deliver bore assessment notices, bore assessment reports and key terms to landholders to comply with Chapter 3 of the Water Act 2000.
• o Contacting bore owners and arranging access to undertake the bore assessments
• o Accompanying Arrow or contractor personnel to sites to undertake bore assessments Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.

About You:

• Qualification: University degree or First degree or Other Professional Qualification preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of Water bore construction, operation and infrastructure highly regarded.
• Experience working under safety management systems.
• Experience working using Safe Systems of Work.
• Attention to detail and good record keeping.
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to easily interact with Landholders to facilitate access to water bores.
