Job summary

Palm Lake Group is seeking a committed Groundskeeper for Palm Lake Resort Beachmere Bay to maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas. This full-time role operates 38 hours weekly, 6am–6pm, Monday to Friday, performing hands-on grounds maintenance to keep resort grounds pristine for residents and visitors year-round.

Ideal candidates have a C class driver’s licence, proven gardening experience, and a relevant horticulture qualification.

Qualifications

• Relevant gardening experience in a similar role.
• Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous.
• ACDC chemical licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Hedge & tree trimming
• Mowing, edging & whipper snipping
• Control weeds and pests through herbicides
• Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation
• Planting, mulching, and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including irrigation
• Oversee the outdoor presentation of facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
• Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order

Position Details

We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groundskeeper to join our Palm Lake Resort Beachmere Bay team and help keep our resort grounds in pristine condition. This is a Full Time role, working 38 hours between the working hours of 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday in a hands-on capacity to maintain our gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Your work will be essential to ensuring the resort grounds are presented to a high standard for our residents and visitors year-round.

• Mowing, edging & whipper snipping
• Control weeds and pests through the application of herbicides;
• Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation;
• Planting, mulching, and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including watering and maintenance of irrigation systems;
• Oversee the outdoor presentation of all facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
• Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order

To excel in this role, you will bring

• A \"C\" class drivers licence;
• Relevant gardening experience in a similar role;
• Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous;

• Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
• Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying.
• Initiative & the ability to work with limited supervision.
