Job summary

Ingenia Communities’ Swan Bay Holidays site is seeking a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to keep gardens and park areas looking beautiful, safe, and welcoming for guests. You’ll support daily maintenance tasks and respond to resident requests as needed.

You’ll conduct pruning, weeding, mowing and basic repairs, with possible pool maintenance duties. A current C class license and safety mindset are essential. Flexible schedules and park perks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining gardens, using pruning, mowing and mulching techniques.
• Ability to respond to resident/guest maintenance requests and log activities.
• Knowledge of site safety, chemicals and pool or site systems.
• Hold a current “C” class driver license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all garden areas through pruning, weeding, fertilising, replanting, mulching, hedging, mowing and edging.
• Keep grounds clean and safe by clearing debris, collecting bins, spraying for weeds/pests, and maintaining pool areas (if applicable).
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance, including tools, equipment, lighting, fixtures, fencing, BBQs and basic painting.
• Respond to resident/guest maintenance requests, provide feedback on contractor work, and elevate issues to trades when needed.
• Support site presentation and security by reporting damage or incidents and accurately logging all maintenance and repair activities.

Reporting to the Park Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping the park looking beautiful, safe, and welcoming — ensuring guests enjoy a clean, well‑maintained environment every day.

Nestled between Victoria’s Surf Coast and Port Phillip Bay, Swan Bay offers a peaceful bayside escape with direct access to the water—perfect for fishing and coastal relaxation.
