Job summary

RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort in Western Australia is seeking a casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to maintain resort grounds, facilities and amenities in a breathtaking, remote coastal location. On-site accommodation is available for a minimal charge, supporting a relaxed lifestyle while delivering guest-worthy service.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, landscaping, carpentry or similar roles.
• Strong practical and handyman skills.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Proactive maintenance mindset.
• Ability to work in a remote environment and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake gardening, groundskeeping and maintenance across the resort.
• Maintain accommodation, caravan grounds, guest amenities, camp kitchens, pool and public areas.
• Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to facilities and equipment.
• Assist guests with requests and provide friendly service.
• Conduct inspections to ensure high presentation standards.
• Ensure work is completed safely per WHS requirements.

We are currently looking for a casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team! This role is perfect for someone looking to live and work in a breathtaking coastal location, with on-site accommodation available for a minimal charge.

Join our close-knit team and play a key role in ensuring our resort grounds, facilities, and amenities are maintained to the highest standard, helping create memorable experiences for our guests every day.

What will you be doing?

• Undertake general gardening, groundskeeping and maintenance work across the resort.
• Maintain accommodation, caravan and camping grounds, guest amenities, camp kitchens, swimming pool and public areas.
• Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to resort facilities and equipment.
• Assist guests with requests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Conduct inspections and ensure grounds and facilities are presented to a high standard.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

What are we looking for in you?

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, landscaping, carpentry or a similar role.
• Strong practical and handyman skills.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Ability to work in a remote environment and as part of a team.
• Current Manual Driver’s Licence essential.
• HR Truck Licence highly regarded.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
