Job summary

RAC Karri Valley Resort in WA seeks a Grounds & Maintenance Manager for a full-time permanent role. Lead a small team, oversee gardens, buildings and safety, and coordinate contractors to keep facilities at high standards in a scenic lakeside setting.

On-site accommodation is available; experience in horticulture, maintenance or facilities management is preferred. A Driver's Licence and First Aid are desirable, with weekend availability and on-call flexibility expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar grounds, maintenance or facilities role.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
• Strong knowledge of gardening, landscaping and general property maintenance.
• Experience maintaining machinery, tools and equipment.
• Current Driver's Licence and a willingness to obtain required checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Grounds & Maintenance team, including recruitment, training and performance management.
• Maintain the gardens, grounds and landscaping to a high standard.
• Plan and manage preventative maintenance programs across resort facilities and accommodation.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors completing maintenance work on site.
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and upkeep of buildings, plant and equipment.
• Maintain and service machinery, tools and vehicles across the property.
• Monitor and maintain resort infrastructure, including water, wastewater and other essential systems.
• Oversee pool testing and maintenance to ensure compliance and guest safety.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety procedures and safe work practices.
• Work closely with Resort Management and other departments to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
• Manage maintenance budgets, supplies and equipment within operational guidelines.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call roster and attend callouts as required.
