Job summary

Eureka Villages in Geraldton is seeking a Grounds & Maintenance Officer to care for our Sunshine Beach Holiday Park. This permanent, full-time role involves practical, hands-on work maintaining gardens, lawns and facilities to a high standard.

You will work independently with support from the Park Manager, respond to maintenance requests, and help keep residents and visitors safe and comfortable. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and enjoys variety.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping, gardening, landscaping or property maintenance.
• Confidence with hand and power tools and routine non-trade repairs.
• Strong WHS knowledge and safe handling of equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Friendly, respectful communication with residents and onsite team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining gardens, lawns and outdoor areas, including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, weeding and watering.
• Completing general repairs and handyman tasks, such as painting, fixtures, locks, minor plumbing and plastering.
• Keeping communal and external areas well presented and clean with rubbish removal and high-pressure cleaning.
• Responding to resident maintenance requests with friendly, respectful service and updates to the Park Manager.
• Maintaining safety standards and reporting hazards while using tools and chemicals safely per WHS.

What's the role?

This is a practical role for someone who enjoys variety and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

From maintaining lawns and gardens to completing everyday repairs, you'll help ensure the park remains safe, functional and presented to a high standard.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Maintaining gardens, lawns and outdoor areas, including mowing, edging, whipper snipping, pruning, planting, weeding, watering and general garden care.
• Completing general repairs and handyman tasks, including painting, replacing fixtures and locks, minor plumbing, basic plastering and other non-trade maintenance.
• Keeping communal and external areas well presented, including rubbish removal, high-pressure cleaning and general upkeep around the park.
• Responding to resident maintenance requests, providing friendly, respectful service and keeping the Park Manager updated on completed and outstanding work.
• Maintaining strong safety standards, identifying and reporting hazards and using tools, equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with WHS requirements.

What's it like working for Eureka?

One morning you might be mowing and tidying the grounds, before helping a resident with a maintenance request. Later, you could be repairing a fixture, pressure cleaning an outdoor area or identifying something that needs attention before it becomes a bigger problem.

You’ll Ideally Have

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, gardening, landscaping, property maintenance, handyman work or a similar hands-on role
• Confidence using hand and power tools and completing a range of routine non-trade maintenance and repair tasks
• A good understanding of WHS, safe work practices and the safe handling of equipment and chemicals
• The initiative to identify what needs attention, prioritise your workload and complete tasks independently to a high standard
• A friendly and respectful communication style, with a genuine willingness to assist residents and contribute positively to the onsite team.
