Job summary

Ingenia Lifestyle’s Element site in Port Stephens is seeking a Grounds & Maintenance Officer to keep outdoor spaces inviting for residents and guests. You’ll perform mowing, pruning, planting, pest control, and basic repairs across accommodation and facilities.

Reporting to the Community Manager, you will coordinate contractor work, monitor budgets, conduct WHS checks, and support a friendly, safe workplace. A C Class licence and hands-on maintenance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and grounds maintenance.
• Current C Class manual driver’s licence.
• Able to lift, bend and operate tools on varied terrain.
• Safety-focused with PPE and chemical handling knowledge.
• Calm, proactive problem-solver with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outdoor spaces through mowing, pruning, planting and pest control.
• Carry out general repairs across site including accommodation, pool areas and equipment.
• Coordinate contractor work and manage grounds maintenance budgets.
• Conduct WHS checks and follow safety protocols; document maintenance activities and incidents.
• Collaborate with team, respond to resident queries and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
