Job summary

Cowra Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated Grounds Maintenance Attendant for the Airport, Cemeteries and Saleyards. The role will primarily maintain the three areas, including grave site preparation, headstone upkeep, cemetery records, and general grounds tasks such as mowing, spraying, weed control and waste disposal.

On-call duties are part of the roster and applicants must reside within Cowra. The position offers overtime on busy periods and provides opportunities to undertake safety

Qualifications

• Must have an AQF3 chemical ticket or be willing to obtain one.
• MR driver's licence is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a small team with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set up, sale day and post-sale duties at the saleyards.
• Maintain Airport Manual knowledge and grave site preparation.
• Keep cemetery records and plans up to date in paper and computer form.
• General grounds maintenance across airport, cemeteries and saleyards.
