Job summary

Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre is seeking a Labourer to join Blacktown City Council, delivering practical outdoor tasks to keep the facility clean, safe and welcoming for animals, staff and visitors. You will mow lawns, weed, collect litter, maintain gardens, operate grounds maintenance equipment, move deliveries and assist with fencing, shelters and exercise areas.

This permanent, full-time role offers an entry level salary from AU$1,178.88 per week, weekend penalties, a fortnightly RDO, 12%

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or labouring.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong commitment to safety around animals.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns, weed control, collect litter and clean common areas.
• Maintain gardens and operate grounds maintenance equipment.
• Assist with setting up fencing, shelters and exercise areas; move deliveries.
• Help staff with day-to-day operation of the centre.
