Aeria Management Group is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Officer and Airside Safety Coordinator to join its operational team across Bankstown and Camden Airports. This hands-on, safety-critical role sits inside an aerodrome environment, focusing on grounds presentation and airside safety to support runway visibility and airfield compliance.

The role involves delivering daily grounds maintenance, line marking, equipment operation, inspections, and duties as Airside Reporting Officer or Works

Qualifications

• Experience in turf, grounds, facilities or similar operational environments.
• Line marking experience desirable.
• Comfort working to procedures, checklists and defined airfield standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily grounds maintenance across airside areas at Bankstown and Camden Airports.
• Maintain runways, taxiways, aprons, pavements, fencing and related airfield infrastructure.
• Undertake airfield line marking and refresh painted surface markings to aerodrome standards.
• Operate and maintain airside plant and equipment (mowers, tractors, bobcats, trucks, power tools).
• Complete inspections, checklists and reports in line with aerodrome and aviation safety standards.
• Undertake Airside Reporting Officer (ARO) and Works Safety Officer (WSO) duties in relief/ad-hoc capacity.
• Identify hazards and escalate issues, working within SMS and WHS frameworks.

Grounds Maintenance Officer - Airside Safety Coordinator

Aeria Management Group is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Officer and Airside Safety Coordinator to join its operational team across Bankstown and Camden Airports.

This role sits inside an active aerodrome environment, where grounds presentation and airside safety are inseparable. Clean edges, consistent finish, controlled vegetation height and disciplined mowing patterns directly support runway visibility, airfield compliance and operational confidence.

A one-percenter approach is valued: attention to detail, pride in presentation, and a disciplined, methodical way of working. This is a role for someone who enjoys working to defined airfield standards and taking ownership of how the airside environment presents every day.

This is a hands-on, operational role (not supervisory), combining grounds maintenance with airside safety responsibilities in a structured, safety-critical aviation setting.

Key responsibilities:

Airport or aviation experience is advantageous but not essential.
