Job summary

CSC Group is seeking a Grounds and Maintenance Officer to care for football fields, facilities and surrounding grounds at Caboolture Sports Football Club. This casual role involves preparing fields, setting up gear, and maintaining the premises across venues as required.

The position requires a hands-on approach, ability to work early mornings, weekends and holidays, and a valid Blue Card. You’ll work with volunteers and club teams to ensure safe, clean, and ready facilities in varying weather

Responsibilities

• Prepare football fields for training, matches, and events, including line marking.
• Set up and pack down goals, nets, signage, and match-day equipment.
• Maintain grounds, gardens, amenities, change rooms and facilities.
• Perform minor repairs and general maintenance across club facilities.
• Monitor playing surfaces, identify hazards, and report maintenance needs.
• Clean, maintain and safely store tools, machinery and equipment.
• Provide grounds and maintenance support at CSC Group venues as required.

Job description

Are you hands-on, enjoy working outdoors and take pride in keeping sporting facilities looking their best? We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Grounds and Maintenance Officer to help maintain our football fields, facilities and surrounding grounds at Caboolture Sports Football Club.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in their surroundings and wants to play an important role in supporting local sport and the wider community. This is a casual role, working a variety of shifts, throughout the week and weekends.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing football fields for training, matches, tournaments and events, including line marking using traditional and robotic equipment.
• Setting up and packing down goals, nets, signage and match-day equipment.
• Maintaining grounds, gardens, amenities, change rooms and surrounding facilities.
• Performing minor repairs and general maintenance across club facilities.
• Monitoring playing surfaces, identifying hazards and reporting maintenance requirements.
• Cleaning, maintaining and safely storing tools, machinery and equipment.
• Working with club teams, volunteers and other stakeholders to ensure facilities are safe, clean and ready for use.
• Providing grounds and maintenance support at other CSC Group sporting clubs and venues as required.

What we're looking for

• A practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn.
• Currently hold, or be eligible to hold a Blue Card (Working with Children)
• Good attention to detail and time management skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confidence using hand tools and basic machinery, or a willingness to develop these skills.
• The ability to work outdoors and undertake physical tasks in varying weather conditions.
• A current driver's licence and the ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory police check.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays in line with football and event schedules.

Previous grounds or maintenance experience is desirable but not essential. Relevant machinery, chemical handling or safety tickets will be highly regarded.
