Job summary

Latrobe Valley Village in Victoria is seeking an experienced Grounds and Gardens Officer to maintain our gardens, lawns, pathways and outdoor spaces across our aged care and retirement living community. This full-time role offers stability and the chance to care for a welcoming environment.

You will bring at least five years in commercial grounds, experience with irrigation, turf, pruning and pest control, plus a Certificate III in Horticulture and a valid driver's licence.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grounds and Gardens Officer to join our team on a full-time basis (76 hours per fortnight).

In this role you will:

Be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beautiful gardens, lawns, pathways, landscaped areas, and outdoor environments across our aged care and retirement living community.

Play an important role in creating a safe, attractive, and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors

About You:

We are looking for some who has:

At least 5 years' experience in commercial grounds and garden maintenance

Experience with irrigation systems, turf management, pruning, weed and pest control, and landscaping

Strong organisational and communication skills

A current Driver's Licence

A Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent

Experience in contract supervision or contractor management

Experience working within residential aged care facilities and retirement villages, healthcare environments or community services

Chemical users certificate or experience in pest and weed management

Experience with landscaping projects and grounds improvement initiatives
