Job summary

Genus Environmental is seeking energetic individuals to join the Ground Crew in the Perth Metro area, delivering vegetation management services with a focus on safety and teamwork. No prior arborist experience is required, with on-the-job training and development opportunities to progress within the business.

You will prune, cut and remove vegetation, operate chainsaws and report hazards while working outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training in vegetation management.
• No arborist or vegetation mgmt experience required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with vegetation management and tree maintenance activities
• Pruning, cutting and removing branches and vegetation
• Operating chainsaws, chippers and other vegetation management equipment (where trained and authorised)
• Identifying and reporting hazards and safety concerns
• Working closely with team members to ensure safe and efficient work practices
• Supporting crews across a variety of projects throughout the Perth Metro area

The Opportunity – Start a Career in Vegetation Management

As part of our Ground Crew team, you'll work alongside experienced Vegetation Workers and Arborists maintaining vegetation around critical infrastructure throughout the Perth Metro area.

No previous arborist or vegetation management experience is required. We provide on-the-job training, support and development opportunities to help you build your skills and progress within the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with vegetation management and tree maintenance activities
• Pruning, cutting and removing branches and vegetation
• Operating chainsaws, chippers and other vegetation management equipment (where trained and authorised)

Desirable Qualifications

• MR or HR Driver's Licence

• Previous labouring, landscaping, horticulture, construction or outdoor work experience
