Job summary

Genus Environmental is seeking motivated candidates for a Ground Crew role focused on vegetation management around critical infrastructure in the Perth Metro area. No prior arborist experience is required; we provide on-the-job training and development opportunities to help you grow within the business.

You'll perform pruning and vegetation duties, operate chainsaws and related equipment where trained, and work safely as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Commitment to maintaining a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
• Valid manual driver’s licence.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual outdoor work daily.
• Clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with vegetation management and tree maintenance activities.
• Pruning, cutting and removing branches and vegetation.
• Operating chainsaws, chippers and other vegetation management equipment (where trained and authorised).
• Identifying and reporting hazards and safety concerns.
• Working closely with team members to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
• Supporting crews across a variety of projects throughout the Perth Metro area.

The Opportunity – Start a Career in Vegetation Management

As part of our Ground Crew team, you'll work alongside experienced Vegetation Workers and Arborists maintaining vegetation around critical infrastructure throughout the Perth Metro area.

No previous arborist or vegetation management experience is required. We provide on-the-job training, support and development opportunities to help you build your skills and progress within the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with vegetation management and tree maintenance activities

Desirable Qualifications

While Not Essential, The Following Will Be Highly Regarded

• Construction White Card
• MR or HR Driver's Licence
• First Aid and CPR Certification
• Previous labouring, landscaping, horticulture, construction or outdoor work experience
