Job summary

Port Macquarie Golf Club is seeking Greenkeepers to join our friendly, safe and hardworking team on a Casual, part time or full-time basis.

Your role focuses on maintaining all turf areas to a high standard, proficient course setup, mentoring apprentices, and performing turf renovations as needed. Weekend rosters apply and a club membership can be negotiated into your package.

Qualifications

• Competent to work alone and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Relevant experience in golf course maintenance.

• Positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of all turf areas on the course to a high standard, inclusive of greens, tees, surrounds, bunkers, fairways, roughs and out of play areas
• Proficient in course set-up
• Mentor and guide the career development of all apprentices
• Carry out turf renovation, including scarifying, coring, dethatching, and sanding as required
• Assist in any other areas on the club’s property as directed by the Course Superintendent
• Safely apply pesticides and fertilizers when required
• Irrigation management
• Use of agronomic course requirements to set course maintenance
• Follow and implement safe workplace practices

Port Macquarie Golf Club is well known for its Championship 18-hole golf course with an average of 70,000 rounds of golf played every year. We are seeking Greenkeepers to work with our friendly, safe and hardworking team on a Casual, part time or full-time basis. Your week would give you the flexibility to enjoy the beautiful Port Macquarie afternoons and evenings. For the keen golfer, a club membership can be negotiated into your above award package.

The Role

• Maintenance of all turf areas on the course to a high standard, inclusive of greens, tees, surrounds, bunkers, fairways, roughs and out of play areas
