Job summary

Country Club Tasmania is launching a world-class golf course and seeks Greenkeepers or experienced Groundskeepers. You’ll maintain turf, operate equipment, and ensure play readiness while enjoying a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include turf health monitoring, pest management, fertiliser programs, and assisting apprentices. A forklift license and chemical handling awareness are advantageous.

Big things are happening here at Country Club Tasmania, and we’re looking for Greenkeepers or experienced Groundkeepers to come along for the ride as we bring our brand-new, world-class golf course to life, opening in December 2026.

What you can expect in a day in the role:

You’ll bring a genuine passion for green/grounds keeping and take pride in maintaining exceptional standards across the grounds. With a strong interest in golf and a solid understanding of turf care, equipment use, and day-to-day maintenance tasks, you’ll enjoy a role where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain golf course machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitoring turf health and identifying pest, weed and disease issues
• Implement chemical and fertiliser programs to enhance all playing surfaces
• Conduct regular maintenance task ready for play ranging from but not limited to course set up, watering, mowing, edging, fertilising, bunker maintenance etc
• Excellent communications skills and assisting in training apprentices
• Team- Orientated mindset
• Demonstrated reliability, motivation and a strong work ethic.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Along with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented mindset, you will bring the following skills to the role:

• Certificate 3 in Sports Turf Management or hands-on experience in groundskeeping
• Availability across a 7-day rotating roster
• Experience in a similar environment
• Passion for the outdoors and the turf industry
• A forklift license and chemical handling certificate would be advantageous.

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
