Job summary

Tocumwal Golf & Bowls Club on the Murray River is seeking a proactive Greenkeeper or a 3rd/4th Year Apprentice to join our course maintenance team. The role is full time, 38 hours per week, with a rotating weekend roster and wages aligned to the Registered & Licensed Clubs Award 2020.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Turf Management or be pursuing it as an apprentice, hold a valid driver’s licence, and demonstrate teamwork, reliability and a solid turf maintenance skillset

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Turf Management or be a 3rd/4th year apprentice.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Team oriented with a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Experience in turf maintenance, machinery use, irrigation, and weed/disease management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course and greens to required standards.
• Operate maintenance and turf machinery safely.
• Assist with irrigation system upkeep and repairs as needed.
• Monitor weed and disease issues and apply control measures as approved.

Qualified Greenkeeper or 3rd / 4th Year Apprentice

Club Tocumwal, located on the Murray River is seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual looking to take their next step in their career.

Club Tocumwal has 36 Golf holes, putting greens, a driving range and chipping facilities, two synthetic bowling greens and a large clubhouse. The clubhouse is undertaking a 7.5 million redevelopment with training facilities, new pro shop, function centre and increased floor capacity.

The applicant must possess a certificate III in Turf Management or be a third or fourth year apprentice undertaking this certificate, and hold a valid driver’s licence.

The successful applicant will possess;

• Sound knowledge of maintaining a golf course including experience with maintenance and turf machinery, irrigation systems and knowledge of weeds/disease management and control.

The position is Full time, 38 hours per week with a rotating weekend roster.

Wages are paid in accordance with the Registered & Licensed Clubs Award 2020.
