Job summary

Lutheran Services in Milton, Queensland (with flexible working arrangements) seeks a Grants & Fundraising Lead to drive our 2025–2030 fundraising strategy and diversify funding across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, grants and bequests.

You will lead funding initiatives, build relationships with funders and donors, and develop compelling proposals that demonstrate need and impact, while growing a capable fundraising team within a values-driven not-for-profit.

Qualifications

• Qualifications and/or significant experience across fundraising, grants, philanthropy, corporate partnerships or business development.
• Track record of securing significant funding from philanthropic, corporate or government sources.
• Experience leading fundraising strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Strong writing and communication skills for persuasive proposals and donor communications.
• Ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders, funders and partners.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, including managing income targets, budgets, ROI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimise the Fundraising Strategy 2025–2030, delivering against fundraising targets.
• Build and manage a strong funding pipeline across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, private ancillary funds, grants, staff giving and other fundraising streams.
• Develop compelling grant applications, proposals and business cases that clearly demonstrate need, impact and alignment.
• Grow relationships with funders, donors, corporate partners and philanthropic networks.
• Oversee broader fundraising streams including bequests and general fundraising.
• Build fundraising capability across Lutheran Services, including growing and leading a team as the function develops.
• Represent Lutheran Services as a fundraising ambassador across philanthropic, corporate and grant-making networks.
