Job summary

Aussie Broadband Group is seeking a Graduate Systems Engineer in Sydney to join their team starting 9 February 2027. You will work with experienced engineers, contributing to real projects and building your skills from day one in a collaborative environment.

The role focuses on maintaining critical infrastructure, Linux/Windows server administration, and hands-on exposure to networking and automation. Ideal for recent graduates with a passion for technology and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Degree completed within the last two years in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Exposure to Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, IT Operations via internships, university projects, or work experience is valued.
• Interest in infrastructure, cloud technologies, operating systems and automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration, configuration and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers and endpoints.
• Monitor system health, availability, performance, and resource utilisation.
• Support OS patching, upgrades, security configuration and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain system configuration standards and technical documentation.
• Assist with troubleshooting OS, service, authentication and connectivity issues.
• Help maintain inventory of managed systems and configurations.
• Develop knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, firewalls and subnetting.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between servers, endpoints and management platforms.
• Assist with monitoring for system availability and agent health.
• Track OS patch levels and baseline compliance.
• Follow a structured development pathway with mentoring and milestones.
• Participate in graduate program workshops and development sessions.
