Symbio, part of the Aussie Broadband Group, is seeking a Graduate Systems Engineer to join our team in Sydney. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting critical infrastructure and platforms, learning from experienced engineers, and contributing to real projects from day one.

Based in Sydney with a hybrid work model, you’ll assist with Linux/Windows server administration, monitoring, scripting and security improvements as you build a foundation for your career in systems engineering.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or related (completed within the last two years).
• Exposure to Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, IT Operations valued.
• Interest in infrastructure, cloud technologies, and automation.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows server administration.
• Basic scripting: Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with administration, configuration and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers and endpoints.
• Monitor system health, availability, performance, disk capacity and resource utilisation.
• Support operating system patching, upgrades, security configuration and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain system configuration standards and technical documentation.
• Assist with troubleshooting operating system, service, authentication and connectivity issues.
• Help maintain an accurate inventory of managed systems, operating system versions and configuration status.
• Develop knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, firewalls and subnetting.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues between servers, endpoints, network services and management platforms.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining monitoring for system availability, resource utilisation, service status and management agent health.
• Assist with tracking operating system patch levels, security updates and baseline compliance.
• Follow a structured development pathway with mentoring, professional development opportunities and milestones.
• Participate in graduate program workshops, networking opportunities and development sessions.
