Job summary

BG&E in Adelaide is seeking a Junior/Graduate Engineer to join our Buildings team, focusing on temporary works and construction engineering. You will support design, documentation, and site activities, guided by experienced engineers to deliver safe, buildable solutions.

You’ll develop practical skills in construction methodologies, sequencing, and QA, collaborating with project teams across multiple offices to ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant engineering degree or be close to graduation
• Experience with temporary works and construction engineering is advantageous
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and construction safety principles
• Ability to produce clear, accurate documentation and drawings

Responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of temporary works including formwork, shoring, and crane bases
• Develop construction methodologies and sequencing plans with site teams
• Undertake structural analysis to ensure safety and constructability
• Review reports, drawings and calculations for quality and accuracy
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters and contractors across offices to deliver coordinated solutions
