Job summary

Starling Bank's Engine by Starling in Sydney is looking for Graduate Software Engineers to join our growing team. You’ll work on real‑world problems from day one, building new features from scratch and learning on the job across Java, JS/TS, Swift and Kotlin.

Collaboration in small teams and ownership of projects are core parts of the role. No CS degree required; we value genuine interest in software engineering, proactive learning, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Recent university graduate or on track to graduate by end of current academic year.
• Ability to write quality code and contribute to team projects.
• Proven experience working in a team and strong communication.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to receive feedback and improve.
• Eligible to work in Australia and available to start a full‑time role in early 2027.

Responsibilities

• Build & Innovate: contribute to Starling's platform and internal tools, crafting new features.
