Agilent Technologies Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer to support customers with installation, maintenance and repair of system solutions on-site at customer locations. You will install and optimize hardware, software, and network configurations and diagnose performance issues.

The role involves proactive problem solving, customer training when needed, and collaboration with Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D. Remote work option is available with up to 25% travel across Australia.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

Job Description

• Responsible for supporting customers through on-site activities such as installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions which may include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems.
• Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
• Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
• Performs maintenance and repair services.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
• Proactively responds to potential equipment or software issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
• Delivers (does not design) fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.
• Serves as an internal resource on technical issues and manages product escalations Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers.
• Will work in associated projects.
• May have knowledge of third‑party products.
• May deliver internal technical training and maintenance seminars and workshops for field engineers or customers.
• May train other field engineers or customers.
• May calibrate equipment on-site for large volume customers.
• May qualify leads.
• Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites.
• Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 -2 years of professional experience are welcome to apply. Relevant internships, part‑time experience or graduate roles will be considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive and positive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Previous customer service or customer‑facing experience would be an added advantage.
• Candidates based in Perth are preferred. Candidates based in Victoria may also be considered.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
